3 Tips for Designing a Closet with Beauty, Functionality & Organization in Mind

Designing an organized and aesthetic closet will encourage you to keep this space clean and in order. Taking the time to do this is worthwhile as it saves time and eliminates unnecessary stress when looking for pieces and planning out your looks. Additionally, a functional closet will add value and storage to your life.

Tip #1: Invest in Built-In Cabinetry

Floor-to-ceiling built-in cabinetry allows you to use every square inch for storage and organization. Hanging racks offer easy visual access to clothing that wrinkles easily or takes up too much space when folded.

Shelves with adjustable heights let you customize how and what you store, while drawers hide away intimates or items that may not be as pretty to look at. Mirrors can give the illusion of having a larger space, and glass doors can give off an expensive air.

Tip #2: Utilize The Backside of the Doors

The backsides of doors are easily forgotten but provide wonderful additional hanging storage. Belts, scarves, ties, purses, jewelry, or shoes can easily be stored here while remaining sight-unseen. Over-the-door racks, wall-mounted jewelry armoires, or utility door racks can help keep you organized and tidy.

Tip #3: Ensure Your Clothing is Clearly Visible

Clear baskets are a great way to visually keep tabs on what is stored and where, while bins on shelves for bulky items (like sweaters and bags) aid in keeping clutter together in designated areas.

Adding glass cabinets and doors is another great way to keep your clothing and accessories clearly visible. As a bonus, having these items on display will mimic a boutique feel, making the vibe of your closet a bit more elegant.

Bedroom closet organization is a must! An organization system provides a better idea of what you have, saving you money, time, and space. You will feel much happier and at peace knowing exactly where all of your things are at any given moment within your space. A functional, clean, and beautiful closet will allow you to start your day off right, setting you up for success!
