A Pop of Color you always enjoy seeing
My brother owns a thatched cottage in County Kerry, Ireland. He has a red Dutch-style door for his front entrance. It adds such a welcoming feel to the guests who stay at Cottage Mary Rose, named after our Mother, who visited the cottage many times. It’s a classic look for a vintage home, which is why I chose to use it on my porch door towards the back of my house for my 1893 Farmhouse in the Village of Barrington, IL.
If you‘re bold enough, I also enjoy seeing a bright pop of color , such as Benjamin Moore 2021-30 Sunshine yellow.

It’s as if you know the people who reside in these villas. Choosing a color that inspired you on a trip you loved will be a fun reminder of being there.

If you are looking for a change and nothing to bold, look for a color that complements your brick or siding. There are a handful of colors that complement most brick or paint, such as a rich shade of navy blue like this or a russet color like this.
